Argentinian Beef Empanadas

This was a dual effort between my boyfriend and I — but mostly him slaving away in the kitchen while I gave instructions 😛 I did have a hand at filling half the empanadas though.

This was our first time rendering beef fat to use in the empanada dough. ‘Twas easy to just let it render out on the stove for a few hours for a tastier dough…even though the dough is still meh. It actually tasted like a big oyster cracker! 😛 Our filling of meat, onion, pepper and spices was nice and tasty though. 🙂
