My quest for the pineapple black tea my cousin and I had in Hawaii a couple of years ago. It has been a work in progress since; however, this came out the best and I think it’s because I infused the pineapple while the tea steeped. Usually I added fresh pineapple in the mason jar at the end.

6 black tea bags
1 1/2 C bakers sugar
1 G h20
Pineapple (frozen or fresh, both work well)

Bring water to a boil.
Once it comes to a boil, stir in sugar to dissolve.
Turn heat off and steep tea bags and add pineapple until mixture cools.
Containerize.
