My friend Phil has a bread book that we got this recipe from. I can’t recall the name, but this recipe is awesome. it requires a cast iron skillet to bake the bread, which I think makes all the difference. My boyfriend and I let this rise for 24 hours (instead of the recommended 12-18) and then rose it for a second time for 2 hours. We baked it in the skillet for 30 minutes at 475 degrees and then removed the cast iron skillet lid to brown for another 5 minutes. Ah, the aroma of fresh bread…time to eat!
